Dining at Disney — Tables in Wonderland

We are 5 miles due east from the Castle at Magic Kingdom and it is raining so hard today with some very aggressive lightning strikes. So wish me luck that I get this finished before the power goes out. Today we review Rix Sports Bar and Grill - Disney World's Coronado Springs Resort. Located just across the walkway from what use to be the Pepper Market but is now El Mercado de Coronado is Rix Sports Bar and Grill. Originally Rix was to be just a sports bar but was eventually turned into a restaurant as well when Las Ventana's was closed. Las Ventana's was located just to the right of Rix and the sign is still there but Las Ventana's has since closed, it looks like a training space now. We had breakfast at Las Ventana's before it...

The ESPN Club is located at Disney World's Boardwalk Resort along with many other restaurants and shops.  The walkway of the Boardwalk is home to 5 hotels and is a beautiful walk around Disney grounds. On this particular day we commented several times at how green everything was as we'd just had some rains the days before and the sky was so blue with bright white clouds that it was ever so picturesque. There is a very large green space at the Boardwalk Resort. I often see children playing a game of flying discs or people laying in the grass...

Last Friday we managed to get a reservation for 'Ohana, located at the Walt Disney Polynesian Resort. We haven't dined here since 2013 so it was a great one to revisit. As you enter this beautiful resort you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of the grounds. The entire hotel transports you to the islands. The waterfalls at the front entrance have you believing you've stepped into Hawaii.   The lobby is a two story open air room with lots of places to sit and rest your feet or photo opportunities. *UPDATE* The Orlando Sentinel has reported that Bongo's Cuban Cafe at Disney Springs will be closing in August of 2019. I'm so sad to hear this as it's is one of our favorite places. But if you wanted to go please do so before August of this year. ---------------------------- Today we are going to review Bongos we were just here last Sunday again.
