Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies Review - Magic Kingdom - Walt Disney World - April 29, 2019

Posted by F S on

Update April 30, 2019. I found out after posting this that they are adding a Mickey Strawberry Shake to the menu that has yellow cotton candy and a marshmallow Mickey. I don't have photos as of yet but they are coming to the menu at Auntie Gravity's on May 1.

-------------

Today's post is about something near to my heart. Any time I can get ice cream I'm a happy girl. So today we are talking about Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies. Located at the Magic Kingdom in Tomorrowland. This location was one of the last on our list during our first go-round of the Disney food locations, not because it's not great, but because it's just some place we didn't think about really. Let me say, we do now.

Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies is located attached to the gift shop that you enter as you exit Stitch's Great Escape. It's next door to Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. It's hours are 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

This location serves soft serve ice cream in cones, and as shakes, sundaes and floats. They use to have an extensive smoothie menu but that's been paired down to just Strawberry.

On a previous visit we were offered a twist chocolate/vanilla soft serve but on this day only vanilla was available.

So we opted for our favorite. The Hot Fudge Sundae.

Now why do we like Auntie Gravity's so much. This very large sundae is only $5.49 at this time. It's three swirls of ice cream topped with lots and lots of hot fudge an three swirls of whipped cream. It's a bargain at that price and easily sharable for two people that have just eaten lunch.

They did have a new special offering cone that was an UP! themed cone which we didn't get this time as we were looking for something a little larger so it could be shared.

If you get a chance to stop in at Auntie Gravity's by all means go for the Sundae it's a great price for this item.

We spent some time walking around the Magic Kingdom on this day. It was the last day of Spring Break so it was still really crowded. You know it's going to be bad when the People mover ride has a queue that is wrapped around and around. Here's a glimpse at the crowds this day.

We wanted to let you know that Tomorrowland Speedway is closed for a reconfiguring of the track to allow space for the new Tron roller coaster ride that will be next to Space Mountain.

We were able to capture a photo of the construction which isn't easy whizzing around on the People Mover.

I did see some friends today though, this bunch was extremely friendly. Just remember if you see animals that are in the wild at Disney don't chase them, don't feed them and don't in any way try to pick them up. They can be seriously injured if you attempt any of these things. And please keep small children from trying to kick or chase them :-( This cute little family was trying to get back to their pond I would presume. Since the moat around the castle has been drained they probably have been displaced to a new area which has them walking across the sidewalks where people are walking.

Today's post is short and sweet, pun intended.
