Cheshire Cafe Review - Magic Kingdom - Walt Disney World - July 2, 2019

Today it's a blog post about a little walk up window in Magic Kingdom that is across from the Mad Tea Party spinning cups. It's the Cheshire Cafe.
This building originally opened in 1973 as a caricature and portrait location. In 1983 it was remodeled into the Enchanted Grove which served Minute Maid products along with coffee and bottled water. Although still sponsored by Minute Maid the menu was changed in 2011 it was renamed into Cheshire Cafe to be themed similar to the Mad Tea Party ride which is just steps away.
The menu here shows the limited offering at this location.
On this day we chose to try two items.
The Cheshire Cat Tail is a mini chocolate chip filled croissant that is shaped like a cat's tail and covered with pink and purple icing in honor of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. It was pretty yummy. At first glance you might think the filling is some sort of jam because the chocolate chips are the mini ones so they aren't quickly noticeable. But it's a great chocolate croissant.
The second item was the Wonderland Slushy. This is a brain freeze waiting to happen. It's a slush drink that is made from Raspberry lemonade, and Fanta grape soda. Then they put this candy coated straw into the drink. The candy is sour so it does add a flavor component to the drink as it's sweet. I liked it a lot, but ended up eating the candy off of the straw by itself. Well, some of it. It's really one of those novel items that they are coming up with these days. But great in the Florida heat.
All in all it's a nice place to stop for a sweet snack. We didn't encounter any lines. And just an FYI if you are looking for one there's a restroom just to the left of the Cheshire Cafe that I don't think I'd ever seen before.
