Dining at Disney

Sonya's Restaurant closed in December of 2016, located at the Disney Vero Beach Resort in Vero Beach, Florida. This is a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort located at the north end of Vero Beach near Sebastian, Florida. Vero Beach is located a little south of half way down the state on the east side, between Fort Pierce and Melbourne. Today we are finishing up the review of the Animal Kingdom Tasting Sampler. As we continue on we did not eat at the Smiling Crocodile as we've eaten there before and wanted to try some new items. Here's their menu board. The next location is the Feeding Ground. We did not eat here either as it's really mostly popcorn and drinks. They were featuring an Animal Kingdom Canteen though. Today we are reviewing the first part of the review for the Animal Kingdom Tasting Sampler. While we didn't purchase the sampler offer it's not necessary to purchase it to enjoy the items at the food carts in Animal Kingdom. If you do purchase the Tasting Sampler offer you do get an additional $10 card to use in the evening at select quick service restaurants. The offer is $50 and doesn't expire. The ESPN Club is located at Disney World's Boardwalk Resort along with many other restaurants and shops.  The walkway of the Boardwalk is home to 5 hotels and is a beautiful walk around Disney grounds. On this particular day we commented several times at how green everything was as we'd just had some rains the days before and the sky was so blue with bright white clouds that it was ever so picturesque. There is a very large green space at the Boardwalk Resort. I often see children playing a game of flying discs or people laying in the grass...

Last Friday we managed to get a reservation for 'Ohana, located at the Walt Disney Polynesian Resort. We haven't dined here since 2013 so it was a great one to revisit. As you enter this beautiful resort you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of the grounds. The entire hotel transports you to the islands. The waterfalls at the front entrance have you believing you've stepped into Hawaii.   The lobby is a two story open air room with lots of places to sit and rest your feet or photo opportunities.
